September's Word  of the Month:
THRIFTYWow....as the song says......what a difference a day makes!
Even though I am still dealing with a wickedly painful stiff neck, the difference between yesterday and today is as different as night and day.
By the end of the day yesterday, each of the blazing wild fires  was dealing with had been knocked down (certainly not completely extinguished). Today I am left with the glowing coals ,some scorched earth and the opportunity to move forward. After perusing the landscape, no permanent damage was done . All in all, even though it's cloudy and drizzling,it is a bright new day.
The roar of the air conditioner has quieted as the temperature has drooped enough to allow me to open the windows and let in a breath of fresh air. Other than the whirring of the ceiling fans and the chirping of crickets outside, it is quiet.
Maybe the word I am looking for is serenity.
In this brief moment in my life, I have peace and tranquility.
In a few minutes, this silence will be over. Any minute now, my freight forwarder will be delivering a shipment that must get unloaded, redistributed and out the door by 6 pm. While slow and steady may win some races, in this case adding the words focused and diligent may help get the job done!
I think I am going to close for now ,sit back and enjoy a few minutes of the gift of calm that I am experiencing this morning!

Have an awesome day!
