Okay, so Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are behind me and I have a few days to regroup before Sukkoth ,which quite honestly is a bit of a vacation for me.
Other than meal preparation and our annual open house during the holiday, I have no responsibilities including the fact that I don't have to drive the bus on Thursday or Friday.
My desk is kind of a mess and some Halloween stuff is blowing up however it's nothing that I can't clean up fairly quickly.
My Sukkah build did not go well yesterday and I am behind the eight ball on that.
Again, no panic. After Max gets home from work will will finish what did not get done yesterday and we will be back on schedule.
I could have come home from my bus run and jumped into any of the challenges tugging at my apron strings. My desk, emails, my Sukkah, grocery shopping , or any of the other 10 or 12 smoldering fires warming my heart.
Instead,I chose to write to you, check in and then ,after a bite to eat, address what I can before heading back for my afternoon bus run.
I have cleaned up my emails and cleared my in-box.
I paid the most pressing bills and will get around to the rest later on this week.
There is a nice neat pile to be sorted through on the left side of my desk.
And as I said there is a plan to address the Sukkah before dinner while we still have an hour of sunlight.
I even gave Susan a small grocery list that will get us through dinner and lunch tomorrow.
All is good.
All is calm.
All is under control.
I've got to tell you,it feels kind of nice.
I hope you are having an awesome day!
